Two whimsical, pumpkin inspired colourwork sock patterns **plus** an additional Jack-o´-lantern chart for both patterns. 

These socks are perfect for wearing in the Autumn months while enjoying trips to your local pumpkin patch or while having some pumpkin soup, a slice of pumpkin pie or while sipping on a pumpkin spice latte on a chilly autumn day!

Needles required (for both patterns): 
Stockinette and Ribbing: 2.25mm (US 1), 80cm (32 inch) for magic loop (for ribbing, heel and toe), or DPNs, or two circulars or a 23cm (9 inch) circular needle as preferred.
 For colourwork size 1: 2.75mm (US 2), 80cm (32 inch) circular for magic loop, or DPNs, or two circulars or a 23cm (9 inch) circular needle as preferred.
For colourwork size 2 and 3: 2.5mm (US 1.5), 80cm (32 inch) circular for magic loop, or DPNs, or two circulars or a 23cm (9 inch) circular needle as preferred. 
Important note: Do check your gauge for fitting. **Further sizes can be achieved by going up or down needle sizes.**

Gauge (for both patterns):
32 sts x 36 rnds = 10cm (4 inches) for colourwork size 1.
34 sts x 38 rnds = 10cm (4 inches) for colourwork size 2 and 3.
34 sts x 44 rnds = 10cm (4 inches) for ribbing and stockinette all sizes.

Samples are shown in size 2 for shoe size US 8.5 (EU 39, UK 6), foot circumference 22.5cm (8¾ inches). 

**Field of Pumpkins socks**
Knit from the top down, these socks have a contrast colour Eye of Partridge heel flap, gusset, and a colourwork section of pumpkins growing in a field on the leg. There is only one round in the pattern where there are three colours in one round. This can be finished with duplicate stitch if preferred. The leaf section of the colourwork chart is repeated again before the toe of the sock.

To fit a leg circumference circumference): 19 - 21 (22 –24, 26 – 28) cm / 8 (9¼, 10¾) inches 
Finished leg circumference: 17.5 (20.5, 25) cm / 7 (8¼, 9¾) inches 
To fit (foot circumference): 17.5-20 (20–22.5, 22.75–25) cm / 7.5 (8½, 9½) inches
Finished circumference: 16.5 (19, 21.25) cm / 6½  (7½, 8½) inches

Recommended ease: Approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) of negative ease. For foot circumference, measure around the ball of the foot just before the toes. Leg/foot length can be easily adjusted. See instructions for details.

MC: Drops Design Nord sock yarn (45% Alpaca, 30% Polyamide, 25% Wool), 170m (186 yds) per 50g
CC1: Yarn Love Cinderella sock (80% BFL Wool, 20% Nylon), 170m (185 yds) per 50g
CC2: Lang Yarns Alpaca Soxx (75% Virgin Wool Superwash, 25% Nylon), 210m (230 yds) per 50g
Any fingering weight sock yarn can be used for this sock pattern, as long as you can obtain the same gauge.

**Pumpkin Party socks**

These socks are knit from the ribbed cuff down, have a short row heel, and a whimsical pumpkin motif running throughout the leg and foot of the sock. If preferred you can knit alternate colours, with the main colour and pumpkin fruit colour for both socks, to help overcome any second sock syndrome issues!

Sizing
1 (2, 3) 

To fit (foot circumference): 19 - 21 (22 –24, 26 – 28) cm / 8 (9¼, 10¾) inches
