About Stone Knits

Charlotte Stone is the creator and designer behind Stone Knits. She is internationally well-known for designing colorwork knitting patterns, her speciality being socks with unique, whimsical designs using the stranded colorwork technique.

Having been knitting since a young child, Charlotte has been successfully designing colorwork socks since 2017 and is well recognized for her mastery in designing colorful, intricate and fun sock designs. Charlotte enjoys teaching workshops on how to knit colorwork socks, sharing her skills and techniques all over Europe since 2019.  She also hosts a best-selling online tutorial series on sock knitting with Domestika which has had over 13,000 participants so far.

Charlotte is a successful author and has two best-selling books published by Page Street Publishing in the US and distributed worldwide. Charming Colorwork Socks, was released in 2022 and Joyful Colorwork socks released in November 2024. Both books are international bestsellers for knitting and have since been translated into German, Korean and French. Her third colorwork sock book will be released in Autumn 2026.

Originally from London in the UK, Charlotte has been living for many year in the hills above Zürich, Switzerland, with her family and very demanding cat Ivy.
