The Fox´s day out socks were inspired by a walk in the pine forests in Switzerland. My daughter was concerned that a fox might jump out on us. After explaining that foxes tend to sleep in the day and are probably a lot more terrified of us, we still had to finish the walk while singing very loudly to scare any of them away. I was inspired to capture this memory and possibly help change my daughter´s opinion of these forest creatures with a pair of cozy socks. This sock pattern was made in collaboration with Aya Fibers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese socks are knit from the top down, starting with a ribbed cuff and followed by a colourwork pattern consisting of little pine trees and foxes. The pattern continues with an easy to knit ´lice´ detail throughout the leg and foot. The heel is constructed as a short row (boomerang) heel and the rounded toe is completed with kitchener stitch. This sock uses 3 different colours.
